Juju Hats

Juju hats, or Tyn hats, are worn by royal dancers during Bamileke tribal ceremonies in Cameroon. They are a symbol of prosperity. They are handmade with chicken feathers, bamboo, and raffia. Natural feathers have color variations such as white, cream, brown, black and ivory. Nowadays the feathers are painted in a variety of color and the juju hats are used as wall decor.
